Playing Football Friday List

Well, managed to play football Wednesday (and seemingly every Wednesday from now on) and I really enjoyed it. At first no ill effects although I've woken up this morning and my legs for some reason seem to think I am 20 stone heavier and are starting to buckle under the pressure.
It can only get easier I suppose, not looking forward to the 5K run tonight though, although in the end it will probably do me good (mentally, not physically!).

Well fear not for this site has got your back dawg. (I can feel my wife squirm from that sentence). you should have seen this.com - Warning you might spend some time at this site!

Most people will have heard the news of the Simpsons going HD and a new opening scene. Well at one point it whizzes past and you don't get to see everything, fear not. Not sure what Sky did with the new episode or if I'm just not used to it but the screen was horribly stretched (probably due to me not having TV and Sky Box setup correctly).

Also worth a look this week are the Top 100 Funny One Liners/Jokes.

Pie Friday List

Popped out for lunch the other day to do some errands, bit later than normal and on way back to the office thought I would just pop into a Greggs type sandwich shop and get a quick bite to eat.

Knowing of a shop nearby I popped in, alas the time was past 14:00 and it swas slim pickings, so I stood contemplating my two options (chicken sandwich or pork pie) when a guy comes in and asks if anyone is around (nobody was at the counter and I'd not seen any movement, however it was I suspect closing time).

"No, not seen anyone yet" I said, to which he learned across me picked up the pork Pie and walked out.

A woman appeared and I paid for my sandwich.

I was stuck, should I mention it and possibly be questioned as to why I didn't try to stop him.

Or keep quiet about it and have the women think I stole it after I left the shop.

I just left the shop.


Anyhoo, I just don't understand why he doesn't cut it my kids pull mine out (after a certain amount of training from their mother).

Femto Tuesday list

I've been thinking, and yes be afraid.

Firstly I have been thinking about twitter and how every media outlet in the world has all of a sudden jumped onto it.

I was thinking of creating a spoof site, which I need to run past someone first but I'll keep you posted. That'll be 10 projects on the go. I'm heading for a stroke I'm sure of it.
It is quite cool to see some of the star trek lot though: levarburton | BrentSpiner | georgetakei | WilliamShatner | leonardnimoy | JJ_Abrams and schlotts (ahem).

My other thought over the weekend whilst frankly really quite drunk Valentine's night (no kids and Claire had gone to bed after we had done a pub crawl involving Kingswinford and Wall heath) came to me in a Jerrie Maguire kind of moment. And here it is:

Random Numbers - no such thing.
First random number on a computer are not random (as it is calculated, at whatever level you look at it at some point it is calculated).

Ok next everything you do that you think is random is not random, basically events have run up to that influencing you to that point therefore rendering it as a thought process (in terms of yourself choosing) or a pre-determined pattern as the influences of what you are doing have already been created or pre-determined by other factors running up to the event.

This can be pre-empted by previous events ad-infinitum until you get to the creation of the universe which itself was a reaction and not a random number.

The be-all end-all of this discussion is random numbers really piss me off.

This song has always meant something to me, and the realisation that I have love in you.

I Want Love.

This particular video has quite the controversy attached in that Robert Downey Jr was release from Drug Rehabilitation to film this video (which is all one swooping shot) and then returned to the clinic caused controversy at the time for allowing him to leave. I'm hoping you will see the (sort of) connection (kids change etc).

This song reminds me of a time when nothing mattered, nothing had consequence and we were free to do what we wanted.

That in mind we have been together for many years through many an ordeal (mainly work related) and I find it difficult to think of a life without you.

Afternoon all, Jesus tees off first hitting his ball straight into the water hazard. He simply walks across the water and hits his ball just short of the green. When Moses tees off, he hits his ball into the same water hazard. So, he parts the water and puts his golf ball just shy of the hole. As the old man tees off he hits his ball with tremendous power, but hooks it badly. It bounces off a tree and hits the caddy shack. It then rolls down a path to a pond where a frog eats the ball and swims to the other side of the pond. Suddenly an eagle swoops down and grabs the frog and flies off. As the eagle is flying over the green the frog drops the ball. The ball drops directly into the hole for a hole in one. Moses turns to Jesus and says "I hate playing golf with your Dad."

Drivin' Fast.
Almost a quarter of drivers think it is acceptable to speed if they think the limit is too low - Tick that's me.
Drivers still distinguish between 'ordinary, safe speeding drivers' and 'dangerous speeding drivers' - Tick That's me too.
Motorists caught racing through motorway roadworks ended up being hit by more than 5m worth of speeding tickets last year. - Not been done on this, thankfully.
Of all the speeding offences 90+% are fixed penally notices. - Tick, got done by this.

Thought of the week.
Apple is very closed, they are right, everyone else is wrong (suppliers). However it was noted on a website that Apple have sent an update out for OS X that fixes graphics issues.
This is pretty much due in part to Valve releasing games for the Mac. It's further rumoured that the uptake of the games is astronomical.
Nothing Like a shit load of money to make Apple stand to attention.
