Shoe list

I work quite a bit in my garage on a night, and it can be a bit of a lonely place, so having an old TV I decided to put an aerial in the loft to have some passing background noise whilst i'm working (having listened to my entire music collection so much I even seem to know what songs are coming next on shuffle).

Luckily I have a few aerial guys as friends and have enough leads to wrap around the world twice I set about putting the aerial into position.

Into the loft I go and slowly pick my way carefully across the beams and flooring I had half installed to the farthest deepest ends. It was all going well up until half way with a big cumbersome aerial when I stupidly stood upright into what can only be described as 'cobweb city'. This resulted in a knee jerk reaction of dropping the aerial, raising my hands, clearing my face and putting my foot through the floor / celing.

Off I set again and with a plastic drainage pipe I find start to clear away cobwebs not unlike Indiana Jones to avoid any further unpleasantness. As I reach the end I feel a tingle in my neck and start to do what can only be described as the heebie jeebies dance to rid my body and clothes of any extra unwanted guests about my person (two spiders and something I couldn't quite see fell out and bolted off in different directions).

Cleared of any hangers on the last leg is to crawl into the recess and thread down a wire, all well and good although the torch was more used for the occasion freezing and pointing to allay my fear of anything 'coming to get me' in the dark corners.

Finally the lead was down, I setup the aerial to a beam and to cut a long story short got the job done and returned back down to my workspace eager to enjoy a nights listening and half viewing of my new (well old) tv.

As i'm writing this i'm sitting here watching a 'NO SIGNAL' on the TV (the aerial fell down when I yanked more cord down) and also without a shoe that was left up in the loft at the farthest point.

I'm giving the music another go at the moment

Onwards to the list.
